Musing Review: The Dark Knight

with 3 comments

I think it’s easy to say that The Dark Knight will be the most successful film this summer, and it earns all the praise it’s received…

Heath Ledger’s Joker is absolutely horrifying, and it’s a shame he isn’t around to see his finished product. Ledger’s Jo…(read more) ker makes Jack Nicholson’s look like a Saturday morning cartoon…..there’s no comparison anymore. This is how the Joker was meant to be seen.

Overall, this had a different feel from Batman Begins, and that’s OK. It’s a sequel…there’s no origin story here.

At just over 2.5 hrs, it did seem like there were some opportunities to shave the run-time a little….but, the extra time leaves you looking forward to the next scene that has the Joker in it…..

And I just saw this on another site, and have to say, once you see this, you’ll absolutely never forget the Joker’s magic trick….

Can’t wait to see this in IMAX!  After thinking over it all day, I’m starting to realize how epic, amazing, awesome and fun this movie was to experience.

Now, if if manages to break Spidey 3’s record at the box-office, I’ll be one happy camper…BustedTees would totally have to make a shirt for that occasion, and I’d buy it, no questions asked.

Trailer Watch Update: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

with one comment

Saw Get Smart this morning….sad to report that there’s no Harry Potter trailer attached to this WB movie.

I think it’s beyond impossible that it won’t show up now in a few weeks with The Dark Knight. That’s the most high-profile release left yet…..There’s good trailers on the horizon….I’m willing to bet almost anything that a Quantum of Solace trailer hits with Hancock.

Looking forward to the weeks ahead.

First Look at Two-Face

with 2 comments

I didn’t even pick this up on first notice, but in the latest Dark Knight trailer, we actually do get a glimpse at Two-Face.

Now, it’s a straight shot on the unscarred half of his face, but you can see around the edges at parts where his scarring is taking over as you look to the back half of his face.

Could Aaron Eckhart’s get-up as Two-Face actually one up Heath Ledger’s Joker?  Guess we’ll see, once the final look is revealed when The Dark Knight hits theaters in July.

Full The Dark Knight Trailer #2

One of the offcial, viral sites for The Dark Knight now has a link to download the latest trailer out in theaters.

It provides an even better preview of what to expect from the Joker, portrayed by Heath Ledger.  Honestly, his work will probably be long remembered in this one, because his Joker is very creepy and VERY good!

There’s more glimpses of Harvey Dent, and we’re show what is the beginning stage of his disfiguration into Two Face….setting up the villain for the inevitable second sequel.

I’m hoping this one at least comes close to Spiderman 3s record, because I still can’t stand the fact such a horrible movie holds such a huge record.

Head here to watch and/or download the latest trailer!

New The Dark Knight Trailer!

leave a comment »

I was lucky enough to find a few of the blogs I read posting bootlegged versions of the latest Dark Knight trailer that’s due out soon (apparently next week).

I think Heath Ledger’s final perfomance will garner a lot of praise from fanboys and general moviegoers as well, because his incarnation of the Joker appears to be spot on, and easily the best that will ever be done.

It is going to be interesting to see how they deal with it if they have to bring the Joker back, because it really seems like his performance is going to overshadow anyone who tries to take over.

I’m really looking forward to this one now!

Go here to watch it before it gets taken down!
