FirstShowing.net has a look at Michael Bay’s career.
It’s essentially a short summary of all the movies he’s done to this point, without a whole lot of detail, but plenty to make you realize where he’s come from.
If you’re a fan of any of his films, I recommend you check it out.
I glanced over this spoilerish review from a preview screening of Transformers….I was already excited about this movie, but this makes it that much longer of a wait.
I won’t go over any of the specifics, but it sounds like it’s typical Michael Bay, whom I’ve always been a fan of (but like the reviewer, also didn’t really enjoy Pearl Harbor). This one is inching up to the top of my “most anticipated of Summer 2007” list.
The one gripe I have, and which I thought might have not been true, is that the lips are still apparently on Prime when he has the face shield down…..Maybe, just maybe, they’ll listen to all the complaints about how bad of an idea it really is. It’s just going to come off as weird if it’s anywhere close to what was in that “test shot” last week.
I’ll wait to officially say it was a bad idea until I see what they’ve done, but still….Robots don’t need to have lips.
Check out the review!

I came across these….Similar to what has been already released as far as images.
Now, I just need to get my hands on some of these. There’s two posters, and one massive standee….These should start popping up at theatres soon.

Just got this scoop, and I’m excited to hear that Bay and Bruckheimer are ::possibly:: teaming up again, and will probably establish a pretty lucrative movie franchise because of it.
It’s been announced that Michael Bay is ::possibly:: going to direct the Bruckheimer-produced Prince of Persia movie.
Now, I’ve never played the game, but the premise is interesting, and it was apparently a really good game. Here’s a plot summary of the videogame it’s based on from FirstShowing.net.
“The plot centers around a prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from releasing a sandstorm that could destroy the world”
Honestly, every time Bruckheimer and Bay have done a movie together, I’ve enjoyed it. I’m hoping this is just the next one to add to their list.
I was curious if this would interfere with or come before or after Michael Bays other project, 2012: The War for Souls…..It seems that it would come after that….Either way, the guy is keeping busy. Expect another summer blockbuster in the near future ::if it is true::
Here’s a link to the original scoop at IESB.net….Apparently they’re eyeing a Summer 2009 release.
Below I’ve embedded the two new TV spots that have been playing on various networks over the past couple of days.
Honestly, the photos that were release yesterday piqued my interest even more than these phenonmenal spots!
Transformers has just officially become my most anticipated movie of the summer….Thanks to the picture below. A full-on view of Optimus Prime fighting a Decepticon called “Bonecrusher” in the middle of a freeway.
Seriously….I haven’t been this psyched in awhile.
There a couple other photos up at Yahoo! Movies….. Here’s a link.
I’m totally having my fanboy moment right now….I’ve been waiting 15 years for this!

I’ve gotten alot more excited than I already was for Transformers coming out this summer. One reason to like the director, Michael Bay, if you don’t already, is the fact that he and the producers are purposefully avoiding revealing completely all of the robots from the movie.
I like this approach, because it sure seems like lots of trailers give away a great deal before you even head to the theatre…::coughSpiderman3cough::
Here’s a page that will link you to two new TV spots released over the weekend. They set up everything, and make this look like it will be one action-packed ride….July 4th, 2007.
