I’m what seems to be one of a very small portion of people who are eager to see this week’s The Incredible Hulk. I’m really hoping that it’s a hit for Marvel after the disaster that was Hulk back in 2004.
I guess what’s obvious from this is that this weekend’s box office take for the film could be substantially hampered by the bad taste in everyone’s mouth from Ang Lee’s drama-filled disaster on the first try.
I personally am keeping the bar low, although I’m still getting more excited as the day nears. I’ve heard rumblings that it’s just as good as Iron Man, which, if true, really is saying something. Iron Man started off summer right, and has been one of my favorite movies of the year (not just comic book inspired either).
Hopefully word of mouth helps this one out, although it’s got a lot of competition, seeing as there’s a big release every week until the end of the summer movie season in early August.
Fingers crossed that it’s good…Look for reactions here after I see it.
Anyone else planning on seeing The Incredible Hulk this week? Thoughts?
/Film has the new trailer up for The Incredible Hulk, and I think I was totally in the second I saw the Hulk using demolished wreckage (cars, I think) as boxing gloves.
This one just moved up a notch on my anticipated list….Hulk smash!!!

Looks like the perfect summer blockbuster event! Can this week get any better than it already has been?
FirstShowing.net has a post up detailing all the hoopla surrounding the Hulk, and how he was rumored to be in for a different shade of color for the upcoming The Incredible Hulk next summer.
Relax…..No need to worry. The Hulk will still be green, just a different shade of green, in the movie.
I was a little worried that that would hurt the movie a bit, so I’m glad Avi Arad is correcting his little flub….
Check it out…linkage below.
The Hulk was green…..FirstShowing.net has details up from an interview with Avi Arad that has sparked rumors the green-meanie may actual be, well……grey….
I’m still looking forward to this film and all, but when I think Hulk, I think green and purple…flat-out, I bet a good chunk of people picture green and purple.
I’d have to say, I might be a little disappointed about the color, if he really turns out to be grey, but you still can’t help but be excited to see how this turns out…Edward Norton is a great casting for the film!
I totally didn’t see this casting coming. There’d been rumors of David Duchovny and Dominic Purcell….not once had I read Edward Norton.
I’m actually not disappointed, and think he can fill the role in nicely. Apparently the article will run tomorrow in Variety…..
This movie does have some potential, especially if all this hoopla about it being “the Hulk movie we really wanted to see” is true….As opposed to the first outing…which was a decent try, but was a major letdown.
We’ll see how the people take this one….I’m guessing they’ll “smash” it up!
