Good news for Friday Night Lights!

leave a comment »

Watch with Kristin from E! has some good news for all us Friday Night Lights fans….

She has insider information that apparently is indicating the football-relationship drama will be picked up for a second season, or is at least well on its way to being picked up…They had already requested six additional scripts, which was a positive sign…. Travel arrangements and signing of the cast are these apparent indicators now….

I’m really glad to hear this information. I was a late addition to the show….Initially, I remember thinking how incredibly stupid the idea way, but then I decided to watch it, and it really is a great show.

Highly produced, great acting and camera work….It’s about so much more than football, and it’s good to see that the network is making an attempt to listen to fans and keep it on the air…..I wish we could say the same for FOX and their show Drive…..They pulled it way too fast!

Hopefully we’ll get an announcement in the coming weeks to make this official…..say around middle May.

Heroes Mini Recaplet

with one comment

So I just finished up the return episode of Heroes….

I know I’m going to have to rewatch, because they went through a bunch of information, and 7 weeks gone from my schedule has left my memory a little rusty.

Still…it’s good to have Heroes back…..Next week’s episode looks particularly stunning….Do you agree?

So the big news tonight is the return of Heroes.  After what’s seemed to be an eternity (well, 7 weeks anyway) we finally start the final chapter of Season 1…..

Drive-“No Turning Back”- You know, I still don’t easily recognize all the names of the racers yet, so I’ll stick to the description posted at Meevee.  All I know is Tully has a sweet ride starting this week.

“Corinna is skeptical of an offer that may give her and Alex an advantage; Susan and Leigh weigh their options after Ivy’s actions; Wendy worries about her baby; Rob gets shocking news; and a driver is removed from the race.”

24-“12:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.”-At the end of last week, we were left watching Jack leave Doyle on the side of the highway as he went after Audrey….My gut is telling me that people over at CTU won’t be too happy about this….We’ll see.  I’ve once again successfully avoided the previews…

Heroes-“.07%”- Sylar confronts Peter, and possibly others, in his continued rampage on all the people with abilities.  Also, Nathan and Linderman will be discussing some decisions….Thompson is on the hunt for Claire…..and Hiro renews his vow to “save the world”….This is gonna be good!

This is the first time in weeks that both the Tivo and VCR will be fired up folks…..Get excited!

Lost 3.17- “Catch-22” Musings

leave a comment »

I’m not going to write a full review for tonight’s episode…Honestly, I think I’ll have to watch it over to catch everything again.

I’ve been disappointed by the Desmond episodes….they always seem to be highly dramatic, but don’t really provide any results…They should take some cues from last week’s Juliet-centric outing….That was good TV!

Let’s see if the audience embraces the new addition to the cast a little better than Nikki and Paolo….I think that may be tough to come by…..

I’m waiting for another “WOW” moment, and it sounds like in the coming weeks there will be one….It’s just a matter of when.

I’m totally psyched to see the Ben flashback.  I think that’s 3 weeks away…..that’ll be a good one.

So I’m glad to have another addition to my TV schedule….Drive rocks!

Drive-“Let the Games Begin”– The preview yesterday went really fast, but I went ahead and took a look at the episode summary via Meevee.

“Legal trouble separates Alex from Corinna; John and Violet try to keep their participation a secret from loved ones; Wendy gets used to a new partner; and Winston attracts unwanted attention.”

I’m still getting all the names straight, but I think I remember seeing some sort of showdown between the military guy and the girl that was on the hitlist last night….I think….Either way, should be another great hour of television.

24-11:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.-  I stayed away from the preview last week because they always seem to reveal so much…but, they do tend to trick me a lot…..I’m guessing something happens when Jack tries to tell CTU he’s going after Audrey…..What is in store for this final set of episodes?  They’ve definitely majorly switched over now that all the nukes have been found.

Drive- “Pilot” Recap

with one comment

So did anyone else enjoy the ride tonight on Drive?  I’m always hesitant going into a show that’s been so highly promoted.  After the way The Nine started on ABC, with all those critics saying it was “the best thing on television”, I was wary that this was another situation like that.

….Man, was this so not that kind of show.  After the first 5 minutes, I was totally into the show.  It starts off with Tully (Nathan Fillon, who’s awesome in this role!) racing against another driver down a busy highway….Lots of action…..Anyway, the music coupled with the awesome racing/car chase stuff was spot-on awesome.  I don’t think I’ve thought an old F-150 was a badass looking car, but they do a good job of pulling it off.

There’s a lot of twists and turns throughout the episode that kept me entertained….The show has the whole Lost dynamic, with the mysterious people behind the race (should we call them “The Others”?), but it moves along at a much faster pace… Most all the characters are entertaining as well….I never really connected with the housewives car….

And how cool is it to see the guy from American Graffiti ?  He’s actually quite convincing, and I’m wondering what role he’s going to play in all this…clearly, he reports to someone above him…But who?   One of the many questions left.

I won’t spoil the cliffhanger-ish ending they had, but man was it cool…..I’m looking forward to continuing this ride tomorrow night when Drive moves to it’s permanent timeslot at 8/7c, in the place of the recently departed Prison Break……

Preview the possible Grey’s spinoff…

leave a comment »

TV Addict has some pictures up from the upcoming two-part Grey’s Anatomy episode.

Honestly, it has a much different look than I expected……I’m not as confident that it will work as well as Grey’s has, but I think it’s a pretty sure bet that it will at least get a few lookers from Grey’s to follow it.

Check out the pictures via the link below and see what you think…..Will Addison make it on her own?

A Lost episode without flashbacks?!

leave a comment »

So I just read some news regarding the line up for the rest of this season’s Lost episodes.

I had heard that Jack was going to be the flashback for the final 2-hour finale, but he was also slated for another episode as well.  Apparently that has changed again, and the change is indeed an intriguing one.

Episode 3.19 is going to be the first flashback-free episode of Lost ever….And there’s also going to be a flashback for one of my favorite new characters sooner than expected

To avoid any spoilers, I’ll stop there….

Check out the scoop for yourself.  I’m just intrigued to see how this episode without flashbacks compares to all the others….Could it convince them to use the flashbacks more sparingly?  Who knows?
