Good news for Friday Night Lights!

leave a comment »

Watch with Kristin from E! has some good news for all us Friday Night Lights fans….

She has insider information that apparently is indicating the football-relationship drama will be picked up for a second season, or is at least well on its way to being picked up…They had already requested six additional scripts, which was a positive sign…. Travel arrangements and signing of the cast are these apparent indicators now….

I’m really glad to hear this information. I was a late addition to the show….Initially, I remember thinking how incredibly stupid the idea way, but then I decided to watch it, and it really is a great show.

Highly produced, great acting and camera work….It’s about so much more than football, and it’s good to see that the network is making an attempt to listen to fans and keep it on the air…..I wish we could say the same for FOX and their show Drive…..They pulled it way too fast!

Hopefully we’ll get an announcement in the coming weeks to make this official…..say around middle May.

Check out the full scoop if you want over at Watch With Kristin

Here’s what’s going on tonight…

Lost- “Left Behind”– This week is Kate-centric, and there looks to be a throwdown between Juliet and Kate in the jungle….Kate apparently confronts Juliet after being deserted/betrayed by one of her own. Sawyer is also on the verge of being banished, which I highly doubt will happen.

I’m looking forward to a nice rebound episode, considering last week was all about Nikki and Paolo. I’m thinking about starting a list of Sawyer nicknames….those are the highlights for me….

Friday Night Lights- “Best Laid Plans”- This show has vaulted up into my current favorites….Tonight Coach Taylor mulls over accepting the job at TMU. I also read Jason moves into a new apartment, and apparently Tyra has a shocking secret….does it have anything to do with Landry? or is this something I haven’t seen since I’m still catching up as we go here?

We’ll see…..either way, I’m excited for some good television.

Here’s what’s on tap for tonight:

Friday Night Lights-“Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes”: Since I’m not caught up yet, I’ve read the description.  Coach Taylor considers accepting a position at Texas Methodist, and his daughter expresses how she wants to stay right where they are.  Watch this show already, if you’re not.  I’m still not sure how official it is for Season 2.  Expect an update when available.

Lost- “The Man From Tallahassee”- We’ll finally figure out why Locke was in the wheelchair in this Locke-centric installment.  I’m hoping for some interaction with Jack and seeing why he seemed to be enjoying himself so much while playing football in the Others’ camp.  Should be good….Season 3 is starting to pick up some steam!  Look for a review later.

Survivor: Fiji- Fairly sure we get either a merger or two new teams tonight.  There’s supposedly some twist, but odds are I’ll have figured it out before Probst says what happens.  All I know is Rocky picks Dreamz to be on his team….Who saw that coming?  Hopefully Dreamz takes on the losing qualities of Rocky’s team, and gets eliminated already.

Anything else I should be watching?  Comments?  Leave ’em.

And go watch the Pirates 3 trailer if you haven’t already.

Save Friday Night Lights!!

with 2 comments

I’ve started catching up on Friday Night Lights on NBC.com, since they finally posted all the episodes….or they may have already been there, and I didn’t see the links.

Anyway….if you haven’t yet heard, the show is in danger of being canceled by the network.  It’s been getting great reviews, but it goes up against American Idol, and isn’t getting the amount of viewers that are needed to keep it around.

I urge anyone and everyone to go to NBC.com and watch the first episode (or three….) and I can pretty much guarantee you will realize it’s a show that’s worthy of being around for a second season.  Writing, acting, photography…..they don’t get much better than under the Friday Night Lights.

Friday Night Lights airs at 8/7c on NBC!

The Fight for Friday Night Lights

with one comment

Thanks to Give Me My Remote, I got access to a petition of sorts that’s being hosted to save Friday Night Lights…well, at least to continue it to another season.

I didn’t start watching until late into the season, but I will be picking up DVDs when they are released. I can’t say enough how great the show is. It’s put together very well, and is one of the better drams I’ve seen recently.

Here’s a link to the site, well one of ’em, leading the charge to preserve this great show!

Wednesday TV Preview

leave a comment »

So tonight there’s a couple of shows I’ll be focused on.

Friday Night Lights– I think I remember seeing the preview where it asked the question “When your kids go out at night, do you really know what’s happening?”  It was very dramatic, but looked good.  I’m assuming someone will be injured or arrested at some high-school party.  I’m glad I caught onto this show….it’s actually pretty entertaining.  I just started on 24 season 5 DVDs, and the lady that plays the wife of the coach is in it….Tune in!

Lost-“Tricia Tanaka is Dead”- If they actually hold up to the promos, which hasn’t happened lately, we’ll actually go back to the main island for a Hurley flashback.  I hear Cheech Marin is playing Hurley’s dad, so that should be a nice surprise.  I’m hoping there’s some sort of revelation or mystery (along with some answered questions….like Heroes did!) to ramp up the action a little bit.  I think it was about this point last season where Henry Gale showed up and made the show crazy fun.

Look for recaps later.  Here’s a clip to wet your appetite.
