Over at /Film they’ve got a post up showcasing some early reviews of Iron Man, and most seem positive. It’s the final portion of the blog post that potentially worries me.

They mention one reviewer in particular who says all the good action scenes have been shown in the trailers that have been released up to this point. He also mentions about 4 other so-called “problems”, but it’s this one that worries me the most.

I always hate it when movies give away every good scene in a movie before it’s been released. I remember the most blatant example of this being back when the first Fantastic Four came out. Every trailer pretty much showcased the final battle in New York (which was about the only huge action scene in the movie). Now, I’m sure Iron Man can’t be lacking in action scenes, so I’m not as concerned, but this news is lowering my expectations a bit.

Perhaps it’s the best thing for me though, because if I lower my expectations, I might not be underwhelmed when the movie opens on May 2nd.

Just watched the newly released full trailer for Fantastic Four and the Rise of the Silver Surfer…..

WOW!  I hope this proves a lot of the haters wrong, because it’s one amazing trailer!  Seriously….they start combining powers, the music is awesome, and holy crap….This summer seriously keeps getting better and better!

I’m not sure how long the photo I just found of the updated Dr. Doom in this summer’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer has been available, but I’m impressed by the new look.

The one thing I still don’t like is the look of the mouth.  By the looks of it, his mouth again will not movie when he talks….That just bugs me.

Remember all the old school Transformers cartoons….Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, has no mouth, but yet it still moves around when he talks…..Why can’t the people who did Fantastic Four realize this?

Now, I’ve never seen the comic books or cartoons, but does his mouth ever seem to move?  Or am I just being picky about this?

So remember how a few days ago everyone was saying Laurence Fishburne was going to voice Galactus in the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel?

Well, apparently that has changed….Fishburne is actually the voice of the Silver Surfer (according to Variety…I don’t think it’s official yet).

Somehow I didn’t picture the Silver Surfer having the voice of Morpheus…we’ll see how it looks, considering we haven’t seen the Surfer speak yet….

So it’s rumored that Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix, Mission Impossible III) is going to be the voice of Galactus in this summer’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Honestly, I’ve never seen the comics for Fantastic Four, and I have no idea what Galactus even looks like. I have read that he apparently eats planets, and also that his appearance in the movie was going to be minimal.

It’s a cool casting announcement….I’d definitely like to see a full trailer for this one. We can probably expect one with Spiderman 3 in a few weeks. As far as I know, I’m one of very few people who actually enjoyed the first movie….

I’m definitely a sucker for comic-book inspired movies…that’s for sure.
